HerVote100 celebrates the centenary of the full franchise for all women, on the same terms as men, within the United Kingdom.
The team will work collaboratively with organisations, groups and individuals at a national, regional and local level. Our work will help to facilitate events and commemorations of the women who fought for, and won, the vote.
The intention is to inform, inspire and engage with audiences to create a lasting legacy that recognises the thousands of women across the country who fought to be heard.
Heritage
We treasure our shared history of women’s fight for equal suffrage. Our hope is to document, share, amplify and preserve this heritage for future generations, particularly where it is under threat.
The women’s suffrage movement was monumentally impactful. We aim to celebrate the women, the events and the ultimate victory of the movement as widely as possible, and to commemorate the struggle and the sacrifices of the individuals who fought for our rights.
The centenary year is just the beginning. We intend our work to inspire lasting engagement with women’s history and democracy, and to create resources which will be used and built on for many years to come.
